EU-Speak/LESLLA Module: Reading in a LESLLA Context

Dear educators working with adult learners,

We are pleased to announce that registration for this EU-Speak module is now available. 

This six-week module includes new practices and research that will enable participants to‌:

• The reader’s task
• The history of writing and writing systems and scripts
• Phonological awareness and how it underpins reading 
• Research on children’s and adults’ early reading 
• Non-traditional options for teaching early reading to adults
  
• Reading comprehension and reading for pleasure 

The module is hosted on a Moodle platform and offered in English as well as German, Finnish, Spanish and Turkish.

A $55.00 (USD) fee provides an enrolment key to gain access to the module. Terms and conditions for this module can be found here. 

This covers all administrative and technical support, which enables the volunteer-run EU-Speak Board to offer modules. There is no charge for the optional personalized Certificate of Completion which acknowledges 30hrs CPD on this module.
