EU-Speak/LESLLA Module: Language and Literacy in their Social Contexts

Dear educators working with adult learners,

We are pleased to announce that registration for this EU-Speak module is now available. 

This six-week module includes new practices and research that will enable participants to‌:

• Reflect on literacy in our lives and find out more about the history of literacy 
• Learn about how international testing programs relate to adult immigrants 
• Consider issues you're acquainted with from the perspective of a language and culture unfamiliar to you 
• Explore certain social factors that influence development of literacy and oral language  
• Try out activities relevant to those you teach or tutor 
  
• Make professional friends from around the world on the module's Discussion Forum  

The module is hosted on a Moodle platform and offered in English as well as German, Finnish, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.

A $55.00 (USD) fee provides an enrolment key to gain access to the module. Terms and conditions for this module can be found here. 

This covers all administrative and technical support, which enables the volunteer-run EU-Speak Board to offer modules. There is no charge for the optional personalized Certificate of Completion which acknowledges 30hrs CPD on this module.
